Review: Evaluating
`Meet the Robinsons' depends
on whether you entered the

you've seen before.
Resembling an animated

Future' or `Peggy Sue Got

Robinsons' is a briskly
based, nicely woven tale
about belonging and
achieving...more

EN 5 Second Review:
A Blast for kids, and adults alike, if a bit

"It’s
bogus fantasy which stretches credulity too much." Peter Veugelaers: EntertainmentNutz
This
Walt Disney animation is distracting when the ideas speak louder than
the pictures. It poses the idea of attaining foresight in human
dealings, but it takes a young lad, inventor-orphan Lewis, to encounter
the future to realise that...
It's
a real technical breakthrough, a cartoon feature done in 3D computer
images of unusual depth and plasticity that creates its own crazy world
and then dunks you in it Michael Wilmington: Chicago
Tribune
"Meet the Robinsons," a goofy, gadget-packed kid's
science-fiction comedy based on William Joyce's invention-happy "A Day
with Wilbur Robinson," is a frenetic, sometimes too-dizzying experience
that nevertheless left me impressed...more
It's
got a ton of energy, and the 3D animation is nifty. But the
humor is scattershot to the max, and the plot lacks focus Jeff Strickler: Minneapolis
Star-Tribune The adage "the more the merrier" doesn't apply to
screenwriters. Anything over four writers and we're talking
about warning bells; with the seven listed for "Meet the
Robinsons," we're talking Big Ben...more
A
sharp-minded, plenty entertaining toon that will keep
children of all ages wide-eyed and on their toes Todd McCarthy: Variety
Happily, as has not often been the case in the past, 3-D has
here been put to use in the service of what is, on its own
merits, a good film. More than has any previous Disney
effort, "Robinsons" resembles Pixar's smash "The Incredibles,"
both in the way the visuals combine futuristic and retro
elements, and in the smart talk and can-do energy of the
characters...more
