Dwayne Johnson is "The Tooth Fairy," also known as Derek Thompson, a hard-charging minor league hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their bicuspids. When Derek discourages a youngster's hopes, he's sentenced to one week's hard labor as a real tooth fairy, complete with the requisite tutu, wings and magic wand. At first, Derek "can't handle the tooth" - bumbling and stumbling as he tries to furtively wing his way through strangers' homes...doing what tooth fairies do. But as Derek slowly adapts to his new position,he begins to rediscover his own forgotten dreams.

EN 5 Second Review: The Rock is officially a caricature now. The pitch had to be better than the movie "How about if we put Dwayne Johnson in ballerina slippers, pink tights, and a tutu?" That should tell you all you need to know.

Though our original review was fairly scathing, the DVD release has us rethinking this movie as one we would not mind sitting around and watching with the kids. In order to appreciate it, you should not take it seriously, and just enjoy the fun. Dwayne Johnson stars as Derek Thompson, a minor league hockey player who is infamous for knocking players teeth out, earning him the name 'Tooth Fairy' When Derek tells his girlfriends daughter that the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist, he is soon brought to Fairy World and forced to work as a real Tooth Fairy for two weeks. It becomes more stressful when his wings pop up without warning when he tries to spend time with his girlfriend, Carly. Will Derek learn the value of dreams before his sentence is over?
